National pride only works when you’re abroad

I thought I’d keep it in the family today. Here’s a couple of photos of my dad (who has no idea I’m doing this to him). The yellow shirt, he found in a dark corner of some forgotten closet and it’s from one of his visits to Minnesota, where they are all of Swedish heritage and proud of it! The shirt says “Svenskarnas dag” (day of the Swedes). Now, in Sweden, this shirt doesn’t work so well because – like I stated in the headline – national pride only works when you leave your country. Sorry, no exceptions. So, this shirt is in mint condition and is not likely to be worn again – I’m sure he’s happy to accept bids.
The second shirt (sorry about the crappy photo) may not make you laugh your ass off, but since he’s a retired English teacher, it’s a bit funny. However, that apostrophe after “worlds”… ruins the illusion of illiteracy, doesn’t it?
